On paper it might have been a good business model for politicians aspiring to higher office: Give jobs to the children of the heads of news organizations and possibly kinder reportage will ensue.

Zucker’s son might not be easily replaced. Usually family members of people who work for news organizations aren’t available for employment in private sector business because they’ve already got jobs with the Obama administration.
