Well, they’ve done it again! The Japanese have invented something else that will completely change the way we live our lives. This time, it’s not a piece of impressive technology, or even some kind of computer software. It’s something so simple — but so totally genius — that you’ll wonder why you didn’t come up with it yourself.
It’s called a “kotatsu,” and it’s basically a low table that will help you stay warm. It sounds bizarre, but you’ll understand it once you see how it works. The people at Belle Maison are geniuses.
The kotatsu table is propped up under blankets and cushioned with pillows for extra comfort.
It comes with a small space heater that you can place under the structure for added coziness.
The origins of this invention date back to the 14th century, but it’s enjoying a revitalization in modern times.
Japanese homes have poor insulation, so it’s important that people do everything they can to stay warm.
I don’t know about you, but I would absolutely love to have something like this in my home.
I hope this invention makes its way over to America soon!

This looks like it would be an awesome addition to any home this winter! All I know is that I’d never get out of bed if I had one of these things.
